Not as big as the Pats game, but I went to a minor league hockey game and did pretty good with my anxiety. Had some moments but it was overall a lot of fun:)

Marathon is kinda clunky

My job is pretty secure because of some contracts we have with my state government (that call out me specifically for services), but I've already seen them cutting folks in other areas. I fully think they're just trying to get people to leave in order to gut the company.

They've also informed us that we are getting less flexible PTO, less days overall, worse insurance coverage with higher costs, less disability benefits, and they are halving their match to our 401k.

But hey, at least our previous board members get a fucking house in Italy now.

The new owners have been holding meetings and it's been revealed we are now partly owned by an investment firm. Which checks, because immediately afterwards we start hearing from our new management that we need to achieve 'constant growth'.

So my company which was a veteran ran, small local business was bought out by an international company looking to expand their portfolio. My company was one of the rare ones, very people first oriented and provided a ton of wonderful benefits to it's employees; a literal dream job working from home.

Today I’m going to make Heston Blumenthal’s roasted potatoes. Maybe a soup.
