Solid game! Enjoyed the story, loved how the movement and combat felt. it has its flaws but its definitely a solid entry in the RPG series, probably right behind Origins to me.. I need to replay that

Went and saw Thunderbolts*

REALLY fucking good movie. ABSOLUTELY the MCU at its best and one of the best MCU movies period. Its a legitimately good movie that is FAR deeper than most people were probably expecting.

Finished Robocop Rogue City last night

REALLY FREAKING GOOD GAME. Like one of the best shooters ive played in the last few years. Great story. so much attention to detail. Really captures the "feel" of the movies overall. Also can be really funny at times

So a quick benchmark on my monitor. Given what the game looks like..yeah this is fine. One is DLAA one is DLSSQ.

AH! in relation to my last post.. the criticism AC: Shadows is getting for stuff like the bamboo cutting and now it turns out that the sun will melt the snow slowly as part of its dynamic weather and stuff

Rockstar does this? Brilliant! Immersive!

From Software kinda falls into this category too with like, Elden Ring having a hard 60fps cap and no ultrawide support out of the box, plus their wonky HDR bug on PC which has persisted for several of their games.

And now they allegedly want to charge $100 for GTA6, and yet some people are lapping it up and going "OH YES ROCKSTAR" and shoving rockstar's boot further into their throat and defending it

Their PC ports are repeatedly fucking atrocious which is unacceptable in 2025

Im specifically targeting Rockstar with that comment. They have a near unusable launcher on PC, they make repeatedly stupid decisions

not CPU limited as in "oh woe is me this is unplayable" but limited in "I'm only using roughly 60-75% of my card in this title and the limitation is my CPU"

7950X is honestly not the fastest gaming cpu when paired with the 4090.

"Why do you need Frame gen" I don't NEED it. 120 is fine. BUT 180 locked is basically my monitor refresh and it keeps it feeling insanely consistent.

Just turned on DLSS Frame Gen on Avowed to see how it works in it since I'm already getting a nice 120fps...and its works great.

Honestly only a couple games with Framegen have been problematic..

Annnd I've finished Assassins Creed Mirage! Really good little game! I'd love to see more DLC or small games like this in the future to be honest

Its very tightly focused. Minimal bloat, sure theres collectables, thats fine! But theres not like, 789 of them.

Basim is also a very likeable guy. It makes me somewhat wonder if folks in Shadows will be lost

Been playing AC Mirage now. Mirage is a LOT of things I wanted from an AC game and its a shame that from my understanding it didn't sell exceptionally well

Its essentially a return to the mechanics of 1 and 2. Open fighting isnt really encouraged for example, stealth is the best approach

Finished the Wrath of the Druids DLC for AC:Valhalla

I really liked it, but im definitely getting spent on Valhalla's gameplay right now. I am thinking I'm skipping the rest of the DLC for it right now and moving on to Mirage
