A photo of the top of my sewing machine with the head open. I was cleaning and inspecting it. Looking for damage to the gears, power cord, and other components. All was good to my untrained eye.
This is the compartment under the handwheel. It opens showing the motor and the drive belt. I was cleaning and inspecting this too. The belt needs to be replaced. Otherwise looks good to me.
This is the inside of the bobbin compartment. I cleaned it a little and watched everything run by turning the handwheel.
I got my first sewing machine at a thrift store. It needs a foot and a new power cord. Parts are on order along with some lubrication. I’ve wanted to learn sewing for years. I can’t wait to dive into the fiber arts more!
