There is something happening among white people. More are beginning to realize that our country is not what we thought it was. Yes it’s awful what it has taken for too many to see what Black and Brown folks have known always. I’m holding that grief along with hope that people like this guy give me.

It’s not even just the mere willingness to discard women’s rights and dignity for the sake of expedience. It’s the blithe assumption that throwing women under the bus *must be* expedient—in contradiction to the facts—that reveals who Klein thinks his politics are for.

I know it's frustrating when lawyers point out when something the administration is doing is not legal. But responding with "the law doesn't matter anymore" is really unhelpful and defeatist. Clarifying the law is important because it reminds us not to comply in advance and to resist and take action

No, we do not. We have to actually stand for something. And communicate it effectively. Then go out and persuade non-voters to vote and to vote for the things we stand for.
