Two weekends ago, at No Kings Day Protest #2, we showed up with joy, hope, and fight. Over 20K of us filled the streets of Austin, joining over 7 million nationwide to say what should never need repeating: we don’t do kings in America.

MAGA has spent weeks tearing us, our movement, and our upcoming No Kings Day #2 protest down... saying that we're paid protestors, that we're "Antifa", "extremists", and even "terrorists". We are just normal people who love America and believe in American ideals.

This past weekend we got together for a postcard party! We wrote to 122 registered voters in CA to vote YES on prop 50, which is California’s response to the redistricting here in Texas. We had so much fun! Thank you to those that helped!

It's been discovered that Border Czar, Tom Homan, accepted $50k in a cash bribe during a sting operation in 2024... the Trump admin has dropped the case and Homan is not being held accountable for his obvious nefarious dealings.

Trump and his administration continue to enflame the tense environment. His untrue claims blaming “the left” and downplaying far-right violence not only deepens polarization, but sets the stage for their unjustified retaliation and suppression of left-wing voices and organizations.

Join us TONIGHT at 5:30pm at St. Elmo Brewing company for the Indivisible Austin Social Happy Hour. This is not an official meeting, but more an opportunity for us to chat and connect with each other.

Last week, the Indivisible Austin group (along with other local Indivisible chapters) gathered at Sun Dragon for a mind/body/verbal de-escalation training. We practiced self-awareness and grounding techniques and learned how to non-violently protect ourselves in protests/political situations.

With everything going on, you may not have heard about Trump's latest act of corruption, and this one's BIG. The Trump family crypto business just received $2Billion from the UAE while the Trump administration worked on an AI chips deal with the same folks.

Did you hear Trump or any of his people claim they've made more than $4 trillion in tariff revenue or $8 trillion in new US investments? Did you also react with disbelief? Not surprising, because it's a lie.

This past Labor Day (Monday, September 1) we took the streets from City Hall to the Capitol with thousands of other Austinites to protest Trump, his corruption, and the billionaire takeover of our government.

"It's as simple as that" says a Republican Texas House Rep about doing everything in his and Texas' power to make sure Republicans stay in power... even if it's against the will of the people. Trump, MAGA, and Texas Republicans are cheating because they know they can't win fairly.

Rep Nicole Collier (D-Fort Worth) spent the night inside the House chamber after not being allowed to leave. She refused to sign the GOP-mandated "permission slip" that would place her under 24/7 escort by police. We support Collier and appreciate her for her bravery, integrity, and strength.

Trump’s latest rant about Washington, D.C. being overrun by ‘violent gangs’ and ‘roving mobs.’ The data says otherwise. Violent crime is down from recent highs, overall crime is trending the right direction, and residents report feeling safe in their neighborhoods. In short: fearmongering ≠ facts.

Over 30 Texas House Democrats are headed to Illinois, taking a stand against Republicans' attempt to steal 5 seats in the U.S. House. They're denying Republicans the quorum needed to vote on the GOP redistricting plan. A huge thank you to these Dems for taking a stand! Tag them and show support!

Republicans are pushing a mid-decade congressional redistricting plan during a special legislative session, trying to flip 5 Democratic-held U.S. House seats to increase GOP representation. They're suppressing Democratic voices and we will not go down silently!

We know Trump is corrupt and has no limit to his abuse of power, but his latest moves to tamp down on protests in LA by deploying 2 thousand National Guard was a bridge too far for many. It's the latest in a string of egregious moves under the guise of “national security” but that’s a lie.

Trump has given lots of pardons to criminal friends and supporters. Let's compare this abuse of power with the many number of law-abiding US Citizens and immigrants who have been detained, deported, and disappeared.
