CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER was released 31 years ago today (August 3, 1994). It is, I’d argue, one of the best action-thrillers ever made. It also features one of the greatest action sequences of all time - which I break down in second-by-second detail to help you understand why it works so well!

From the making of 8½ (1963): Director Federico Fellini with his cinematic doppelganger Marcello Mastroianni, who plays a character inspired by Fellini and his struggles as an artist and human being. Not surprisingly, Fellini cast an incredibly gorgeous man to play “him”.

Hollywood is a sick and twisted business. Consider: Nancy Meyers only discovered her film THE HOLIDAY — which she dreamed up, wrote, and directed — is being rebooted into a TV series when she read about it online. Nobody involved thought to contact her.
