You cannot develop did by talking to people. That's a myth. And if you believe that I don't care to discuss this with you any further.

I am not saying all did systems are autistic but autistic people are more easily traumatized than allistic people and that is documented in studies. No, I don't have them at my fingertips. Therefore, we are very susceptible to developing did. Of course at a young age because that's how it works.

I think my point is if you don't want to educate yourself about it then you shouldn't be doing peer support with someone who's autistic, especially if the topic causes you to be hostile. I had an experience about this recently with someone.

We are moms and dads and grandparents. We are physically and neurodivergently disabled. We are foster kids aged out of the system. We are LGBTQ people. We are the marginalized, which is why they want us gone. Don't fall for the stereotypes. Care about the homeless. We are you. You could be us.

Homeless shelters are different from what you think. We're not all mentally ill or drug users, though everyone deserves housing. So why should I have to qualify that? Bc people need to know there are families, disabled people, the elderly, and a disproportionate amount of black and brown people.
