No reply. She just pulled the covers tighter over her shoulder.

Well, she didn't deny any of the other things, at least.

She got under the covers, and turned to face the wall away from Kyoko.

"...Whatever."

For as much as she dished out hurtful words and harsh truths, it seemed like she didn't much like getting it in return.

"Only reason this isn't a mistake so far is because I'm too bored to try and tear you apart, 'kay? So you better keep me happy."

She sat in silence for a moment before eventually breaking into a smile.

"I'm still *that* bitch," she corrected.

"So I should be thankful that you had the good grace to care for me."

Spoken with biting sarcasm. She was deeply perturbed.

"My ass. I bet you'd get a helluva bounty for taking me in. What'd you get for Mukuro? This house?"

"I believe what happened. People just don't recover from 30-something spears piercing them through every possible angle. No, I get it. This is part of your strategy. Taking me in, giving me food... Fucking *kissing me.* You're trying to do something; well it isn't going to work, Kyoko."

She shook her head. This had to be part of some play. Some long-con.

"I... that's impossible. I killed her. I *made sure.*"

There was part disbelief, part offence, and part ego in her response. Sure, she lost the game in the end, but the details? She never messes up the details! And even if it were true, what gave them the right to use her beloved sister like that?

"No, don't change the subject. What do you mean by that. What did you do with my sister."

That gave her pause. She spoke, measured and terse.

"No, she is not."

Junko moved from the vanity to sit on the bed.

"Well now I just *have* to know! Whatcha working on there? Advanced weaponry? Crowd control? Propaganda? Izuru 2.0?"

"Ah, so there *are* secrets!"

"No? Could steal all your mannerisms, too. Get myself a cushy spot in the Future Foundation, get all their secrets to myself..."
