Today’s watch - my favourite from my small collection. The Italian Panerai Luminor GMT - I bought it 8 years ago when I found out I had got silk. Promised myself during the long stressful application process I would buy it as a celebration if I was successful. I’ve been wearing it for last few days.

I didn’t pose the kids, they just sat like this. Something about the way they arranged themselves, the stillness, the expressions, the backdrop… it all just came together. A quiet moment that feels like the emotional centre of the project.

We had to row half way back until a kindly local with house on the river let us moor there, and walk home past the pub, where we stopped for a very nice pint. So all was not lost.
