Remember back when
Tell your best tales
Our ears are open
Whatβs in a story? Everything under the sun and moon. When we sit with the fire, words waft like ashes rising from flames joining the stars above. They are our own personal records of time here on earth. How many times have you heard a story and said that happened to me too or I feel those words. We need to honor ourselves and the roots where we came from because our voices are paths to understanding and having empathy for each otherβs journey on this planet. We all go through the same things, just at different times. I hope this simple idea of sitting around a campfire and sharing stories ignites friendships, experiences and growth of our communities, but most of all, knowing we are not alone as long as the fire glows and we take a seat. Always be safe and happy, see you in March ~ βif the creek donβt riseβ p m gibbs

They really are! Great shot.
They are coming into our valley right now, love seeing the long lines of turkey vultures coming in each almost-spring...
Was so happy to find this tree while walking in a new-to-me area!

Close up of a tulip magnolia flower, thick petals, white on inside, magenta on outside, cup shape, nicely fragrant.

Ha! - but I do like adding the original books and author's names whenever a movie made from a book is promoted...

I really like seeing them, they're beautiful! Happy to share a pic, anyway. π
Meanwhile, I grew up back East and really miss seeing cardinals. And fireflies.
Fully agree!

Oh thank you, I'm in good health, but my oldest friend died a couple weeks ago, too many other sadnesses this winter...
does remind me to be grateful for the good things, though! πΈ
Hope all is well your way. π
Good luck! ππ±π±π±

Oh no!
Hope a re-seed does the trick and they thrive. π€π€
Hi Gaby! (Is that your irl name, btw? Remember it from the other place..)
Yes, edit would be nice. Glad you popped up on my feed today! ππ
Has been a rough go this winter, haven't been paying good attention ~ sorry to be awol...
Quite looking forward to more daylight.
Hope you've had a good summer!π
This works for #FlowersOnFriday, too, I suppose!
Wouldn't an edit feature be lovely...
It's so lovely... another reason can't wait 'til May! π€©π₯°

How pretty!
I now wake up at 4am and lie there, transplanting, re-arranging plants and bulbs and bushes in my mind, until the sun comes up. π π±πΈπΏπΊ
Can't wait!
Photo looking up towards tall, lanky rhodie bushes with magenta/pink flower clusters here and there. Behind are redwood trunks with little branching until quite high up. Sunlight showing between trunks.
Redwood forest Rhodies.
These rhododendrons, Rhododendron macrophyllum, are native to the coastal redwood forest, brightening up the forest each May when the sun is more overhead and the forest canopy keeps trails in more shadow...
Exquisite.

Large pigeon standing on edge of plate of birdseed, mauve-ish belly and chest, grey wings and head with narrow white band across back of neck right above patch of iridescent green feathers also on back of neck. Yellow beak, reddish eye.
A Band-tailed pigeon came by this week! Haven't seen any for awhile. These pigeons are native to western North America, are quite large, and I think they are lovely.
Happy Friday!
