It’s hard to know what to feel. Our so called leaders set the world on fire, but today I got in a bike ride and also got in some good hours at our allotment. Sowing seeds for later in the spring. 24 hour news rolls on relentlessly. A spew of horror, but not in my potting shed. 🚲♥️

To me riding a bike has more in common with mark Gonzales than lance armstrong. That probably seems an asshole thing to say to some but it’s how I feel for me. They are an easy gentle way to get out in nature or To see a city from its back streets.To make my own paths.Free of the tyranny of cars ♥️🚲

Is a bike ride always like a car journey a to b? Or a sport? Fast, timed. For ‘health’? Few of my daily bike rides are that. What is bike riding if it’s not commuting or sport? To me it’s more like going street skateboarding. To ride around for fun & chill out. To see the city.To explore.Seek Calm🚲♥️

It’s on my list of places I really want to ride. Do you have any recommendations converted railway lines or shared paths preferably near the coast?

I really like the honesty & rawness in ronnies videos. He could easily hide all the ‘process’ taking parts off other builds. Struggling with the BB etc but he doesn’t . That’s real. Does not go for the fake slick approach. Plus there’s always a little self parody & hamming it up. I love that .
