thank you! I wanted to pay homage to her original design while still feeling modern and original !

I feel like there’s a difference between aping an art style bc you’re inspired by it and straight up copying a style down to the smallest details and I always feel a lil weird when I see the latter

with the former it will eventually evolve into a style of your own. latter is very intentional

I was so happy to get the chance to draw her!

but this style in a nutshell started emerging around 2023 when I started having way less time for full rendered art and started playing more with thick lines in order to save time on drawings

I do think it’s fun how her personality evokes her “age” in both titles. The diaries in BOTW note how Purah’s de-aging wasn’t just physical, she quite literally became a child with childlike tendencies so I like how in Tears she’s just a grown-ass overworked woman and much more subdued lol
