Well yes, we like the cheap goods that come from command economies with poor labor practices. That's why Trump cancelled the TPP - it was designed to pressure countries to address labor issues, which would eventually make American goods more competitive as theirs got more expensive.

At the moment Trump has ordered an oil embargo that has brought their economy to a standstill. This makes them hate us, not want to be like us.

They're not able to decide with the current government in charge. Rather than military involvement, we should let them compete for our tourism dollars. Tourists won't go to a police state, so they'll have to soften things, and eventually public pressure will bring change.
