Bloodlines 2 is in the title and it was pitched as a prequel to the game, so they were definitely linked

things. Bloodlines 2 scratches that same itch for me. Intellectually I can understand why some people don’t like Bloodlines 2, in the same way I can understand why some don’t like Bloodlines. But I can’t relate emotionally and feel sad for them that they can’t experience it the way I do

Damsel picked up before they got there and took the rest of the way. But even that doesn’t bother me.

I think for me what made Bloodlines what it is was the feeling of living in the World of Darkness. It wasn’t the systems or the story, it was walking around in their version of LA doing vampire

Were never going to be there. And that doesn’t really bother me.

Likewise, the game doesn’t connect to Bloodlines. I suspect that IS something lost in the rewrite, mainly because the Bloodlines 2 prequel AP Outstar did followed a coterie taking a package from LA to Seattle. A package that *spoiler*

After all, if you look at gameplay footage from that time period, it looks very similar to the Phyre portions that exist today. The combat is the same, some of the characters survived. So I would guess that a lot of the RPG elements people feel are missing-inventory, character sheet, etc.-

I’ve been trying to figure out why I can’t relate to folks saying Bloodlines 2 isn’t a Bloodlines game. When they decided to scrap what Brian Mitsoda had done, I actually made my peace with the idea it wouldn’t really be a Bloodlines game.

That may have helped, but I don’t think that’s the reason
