The TDSB, under normal circumstances, does not care about staff and only minimally about kids and families, but under this supervisor, they don't care at all.

Ford government is showing off that they cut $14 million from TDSB classroom budget, maxing out class sizes for all students. The supervisor undid the work of Trustees who’d voted for smaller class sizes. Shame! #topoli #onted #onpoli

Figuring out what I can do with ten minutes re: clean/tidy. A timer helps me. I think it's less intimidating to start if I know there's an end?

I'm sure you've heard all this stuff before but I think the truth is this stuff is just hard, & ADHD makes it harder.

Lowering my standards, because my initial standards were bonkers unrealistic.

Finding a few things I can feed myself quickly that have A Plant of some kind in them. (This is my weakest link! In a chain of honesty pretty weak links!)

Things that have helped me: cultivating an attitude of kindness towards myself about it. Which sounds trite, but I am the only person who is ALWAYS here with me, and if that person is judging me...it eats up a lot of energy.

I suuuuuper relate to this, and I definitely know people who are more functional more of the time than I am, by like, miles. So first: hugs if you want them.

Second, from north of 50, I don't know even one person of any neurotype who is good at all of those things at the same time. Truly.

This is a person who works directly with folks who need the help more than most. If they say it's urgent, I'm telling you it's vetted. Let's hit the magic button today, please!
