Losing the Fourth Estate has really fucked the United States and its democracy.

...I'm noticing that things are continuing to get worse.
It seems possible that starving people to incite an uprising is the plan.
Then, the military can be called in, and Trump has achieved control.
There are some holes in the plan - like there being no food.
Air Traffic Controllers should not trust this regime to pay them back for their work.
They should all strike or all call in sick.
In an economy where most labor is provided by AI and robots, your only choices are:
A) Socialism, or
B) Bloody Revolution
The government should plan for A before the people plan for B.
A visual representation of GOP and Democrat budgets.
Each cup = $50 billion, and each color represents something different. A way to see how the federal government is spending and who it benefits.
Now, which budget/policy benefits ALL Americans?

The SNAP program should be paid for by corporate taxes such that corporate tax levies are greater than if they just paid their employees a living wage.
29.10.2025 03:59 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Whenever people complain about the number of folks relying on food stamps, it is worth reminding them that SNAP is, by too large of a degree, a subsidy for corporations that refuse to pay a living wage and their political allies who reject public policy prescriptions to reduce income inequality.

26.10.2025 14:27 β π 5378 π 1115 π¬ 284 π 109This is the most obscenely wealthy, grotesquely cruel, offensively under qualified and incompetent, outrageously & blatantly corrupt, callously indifferent, brazenly self-serving, shamelessly deceitful administration in our countryβs history. A hollow gold-plated autocracy destined to collapse.
26.10.2025 13:20 β π 4624 π 1177 π¬ 223 π 86Daily reminder that changing to STAR voting would allow us to overturn Citizens United.
That's why no one ever talks about it.
When your voting system can't support democracy, it's amazing how many things go wrong and how badly they go wrong.
idk man, if there are no rules, why is anyone paying taxes, or obeying military orders, or following the law

...and it just keeps happening.
WTF
Congress is complicit. There has to be an electoral tidal wave followed followed by convictions with life sentences.
Just a reminder: comparing our current choose-1 voting system to STAR voting:
With choose-1 voting:
- Gerrymandering
- No democracy
- 2 corrupt parties win every election
With STAR voting:
- No Gerrymandering
- Democracy
- 2 corrupt parties lose every election
Waiting for anyone to care.
Corporate media has failed everyone including themselves
22.10.2025 14:40 β π 615 π 242 π¬ 0 π 0No you can't.
We use FPTP voting (choose-1 voting).
It creates two corrupt, unaccountable parties. These same two parties have been in power for 165 years. It's not democracy.
If you vote out someone stupid, you get a new stupid person.
We need STAR voting so we can have democracy.
Who is the leader of the resistance?

1) So other countries have to make a deal with Trump for his personal enrichment.
2) To raise revenue from average people so the wealth class can get a tax cut.

Don't dismiss the protests because they are peaceful, and you think they're aimless.
We dont have a functioning media, so it's not clear to many that Trump is so unpopular.
These protests are popping that bubble. They are dispelling the oligarch-owned media bias.
They are important. Don't stop!
Sure, that's one reason.
But systematically disassembling government, the social safety net, and the Constitution and terrorizing the general population with an army of masked, plain-clothed goons is right up there.
I haven't heard you or Jimmy Dore talk about the FPTP voting system and how it has locked-in two, corrupt, unaccountable parties in the US for 165 years.
I wish smart influencers would talk more about the root problem - the inability for FPTP to ever support democracy.
STAR voting is needed.
