Losing the Fourth Estate has really fucked the United States and its democracy.

Regardless of protests, court cases, poling, resistance, awareness,...

...I'm noticing that things are continuing to get worse.

It seems possible that starving people to incite an uprising is the plan.

Then, the military can be called in, and Trump has achieved control.

There are some holes in the plan - like there being no food.

Air Traffic Controllers should not trust this regime to pay them back for their work.

They should all strike or all call in sick.

In an economy where most labor is provided by AI and robots, your only choices are:

A) Socialism, or

B) Bloody Revolution

The government should plan for A before the people plan for B.

The SNAP program should be paid for by corporate taxes such that corporate tax levies are greater than if they just paid their employees a living wage.

Whenever people complain about the number of folks relying on food stamps, it is worth reminding them that SNAP is, by too large of a degree, a subsidy for corporations that refuse to pay a living wage and their political allies who reject public policy prescriptions to reduce income inequality.

I am looking forward to America's Nuremberg trials when sanity and democracy are restored. There simply can't be amnesty for the shit that is happening now.

We use FPTP voting (choose-1 voting).

It creates two corrupt, unaccountable parties. These same two parties have been in power for 165 years. It's not democracy.

If you vote out someone stupid, you get a new stupid person.

Every day it amazes me that reporters who have been lied to for a decade hear something new from the liar and pretend to their audience that he might be telling the truth this time.

The tariffs were put in place for two reasons:

1) So other countries have to make a deal with Trump for his personal enrichment.

2) To raise revenue from average people so the wealth class can get a tax cut.

Don't dismiss the protests because they are peaceful, and you think they're aimless.

We dont have a functioning media, so it's not clear to many that Trump is so unpopular.

These protests are popping that bubble. They are dispelling the oligarch-owned media bias.

They are important. Don't stop!

But systematically disassembling government, the social safety net, and the Constitution and terrorizing the general population with an army of masked, plain-clothed goons is right up there.

I haven't heard you or Jimmy Dore talk about the FPTP voting system and how it has locked-in two, corrupt, unaccountable parties in the US for 165 years.

I wish smart influencers would talk more about the root problem - the inability for FPTP to ever support democracy.
