we had dinner at this little restaurant and sat on the sidewalk. we watched a handful of couriers come and go on their bikes, most if not all e-bikes, and the disgusted comments from guests and peds passing by while the two lane road w/ bike lane, was mostly empty the entire time.

full transparency i have no clue how much cars weigh so it was a random number that seemed close but now i'm assuming is... wildly low? lol

the moral panic about the "e-bike delivery guys" is what will drive me over the edge. every type of person seems to be against e-bike delivery guys but utilize them. i also think there's probably a bit racism sprinkled in there too. but hey, we can't police drivers driving 30mph over the limit.
