Yeah, the not masking thing was absurd.

And non-Swedish-speakers (who were also more likely to work in care homes) were less likely to get the message about social distancing, so they died at higher rates.

Meanwhile, political scientists who focus on European politics and who are also public health experts (folks like me, Scott Greer, a few others) were talking and writing about the Swedish experience starting in March of 2020, and had a much more nuanced view. Sigh.
