Time to breed some frogs

Yesterday I was told that the class I’m scheduled to teach this month, Confronting Oppression & Injustice, is no longer part of our curriculum. This is a required class yet there was no discussion, no faculty vote, just an email saying the class no longer exists. This is what it’s like in Texas now.

ICE agents that are attacking your neighborhood and kidnapping your neighbors are being housed at his family’s hotel chain

like in previous days, a large contingent of state troopers, cook county sheriff’s police, and assorted local cops are guarding the ice detention center and keeping the streets clear for ice.

No one knows what is happening. Now, we are hearing some of the CDC RIF notices might have been in error.
Error = Miscoding

Where are we hearing this? Through media of course! No one is being transparent with CDC staff.

Another example in which a panel design estimating within-person effects seems to miss a big part of the interesting action, which is what’s happening with selection. I’m guilty of using this design. I am becoming more and more skeptical, though.
