Oh wow that is an awesome proposal. I was hopeful that East Link would provide a venue for more restructure given the better headways.
I think with an 11 to Seattle Center and the 49+60+36, we'd realize 90% of this vision? I do empathize with the slope problems in Summit tho

Capitol Hill Updates to Support Route 2βs Return to E Union St - SDOT Blog
Blog post providing information about updates to E Union St between 12th Ave and 11th Ave, in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood.
And we have a backpedal from SDOT.
"[W]e are updating our approach to meet the changes requested by Metro to support Route 2, while continuing conversations and evaluations with all stakeholders before advancing changes to bus lane uses."

Overnight Service Proposal
Purpose & Goals
β’ Provide overnight bus service along Link lines and
core ST Express network.
β’ Serve riders and destinations with continuous or nontraditional need, such as hospitals and the airport.
β’ Combined with Metroβs late-night network, 85% of
Link station areas would be served all day and all
night.
Service Proposal
β’ Three routes: Everett-Seattle, Lakewood-SEA-Seattle,
and Redmond-Seattle
β’ Service from approx. midnight to 5 a.m., 7 days/wk;
could also support Link maintenance window expansion
β’ Headways: 15-60min
This is big news: Sound Transit is proposing to launch a new overnight ST Express network, once Federal Way and East Link are both fully operational.
There would be three routes: Everett-Seattle, Lakewood-SeaTac-Seattle, and Redmond-Seattle. Headways are still TBD, but expected to be around 30 min.

I assume a low vision pedestrian would be alerted by the yellow bumps but that may not be a safe assumption.
I think moreso I trust a bus driver to do this unsignalized more than a car driver when itβs signaled
02.10.2025 18:47 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0
I figured that too but if a bus is deploying a ramp at that stop and cars are trying to go through there, they will block the intersection far longer than this
02.10.2025 18:12 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0
If bus drivers know to yield, the current setup seems safer imo. I donβt think raised crosswalks communicate to peds that you have a signal and may have to yield
