The very first book is Earthbound and it is so fucking bad and just about the author's stupid life that I don't care about that I have never been able to force myself to finish it! I return to it once every few months just to marvel at the shameful prose! My God!!!

I've read maybe 6 of these things. Only one is an interesting historical contextualization of a game's development and release. One or two more at least didn't piss me off too bad. But most of them are the horrid modern games journo personal essay combined with a lil' game info! Who cares!

How acute the failure/scam of Boss Fight Books! "What if we did 33 1/3 but for video games?" some big brained wizkid one day thought. Ill-considered! They forgot that games are by and large played and thought about by dullards! The worst of games journalism, now novella-length!
