The real world is so much trickier than the one journalists seem to inhabit.

And next week it’s something else. Or someone. This stuff is noise not news

It is. The lesson is not to fall out in public. By elections are rarely good for governments. The local elections will be a mess as well. They won’t matter in three years……
A divided and warring Labour Party will.

The lesson is probably to shut up for a bit and govern.

If only the world was that simple.

Unpopular opinion 🫣

The best way to rival the US and China on AI might be to not rush in.

Let the AI bubble crash first. AI will stay in our lives but not in this hype driven, money burning form.

Brace for impact πŸ€–

Aren’t you a little charmer

Problem is β€˜communities’ do not have a single voice. And β€˜community leaders’ are often self interested and appointed. So why not let elected authorities do the job. That outside view can lead to a more equitable set up.

I like people disagreeing with me - I like debating. But it is not about my flaws but the political reality we face.

It is complex because it is complex - not because any of my personal failings. Why bother adding on the ad hominem stuff?

Don’t like what? Green Party policy? Most of it I agree with and have done for many years. This social media campaigning style I find repellent.

lot of vile attacks on him - but politics is appalling for this. But much of his analysis this simplistic β€˜us’ against β€˜them’. Those who criticise the β€˜us’ are demonised and thrown in woth the them….. Reform do it on a far larger and nastier scale but it’s been the curse of the left for decades.

No there are many competing elites with different t interests- it is complex

10.02.2026 16:04 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

No I am opposed to the existence of billionaires - but lumping β€˜those who run the country’ into one group is simplistic

Scroll down his feed on here and see the repeated themes. It’s divisive.

Roughly - Assertion of definite β€˜truths’, defining people into the righteous and the damned, easy one sentence solutions to complex problems, lazy talk of an elite in control and the people in opposition. Life is complicated, theres many competing elites and the people have all sorts of opinions. .

I love playing guess if this is reform, the daily express, the Lib Dems or the daily Mail with these lines. Take away the identifiers and it is impossible to tell. All in lock step - that will cheer up Farage and Musk :-)

Lets do it in the UK.

That’s why he did and it is also fairly obvious why it is not a good idea to admit it.

A β€˜firing squad’? …. Do you mean people who disagree with you?

09.02.2026 11:18 β€” πŸ‘ 11    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

No it doesn’t but it gives you lot chance to keep up the attacks.
