It’s like we brought reading glasses to a gun fight.
The president is abusing his office and bullying hungry Americans. Putting food on the table is not a political bargaining chip. It’s our responsibility to hold him accountable. We will continue to do everything in our power to ensure that people continue to receive their SNAP benefits, and that includes the benefits that went out on Friday.
This morning, the president ordered states to not distribute full SNAP benefits for November, and demanded that states “undo” any benefits payments that have already been sent to working families for food.

The USDA sent an email to grocery stores telling them they are prohibited from offering special discounts to customers affected by the SNAP funding lapse.
I'm aware of at least 2 stores that had offered struggling customers a discount, then withdrew it after receiving this email
Teachers can't report more than $125 on taxes for buying needed school supplies for students while the wealthy in America get tax breaks on luxury yachts, jets, sports and luxury cars, etc. The system is rigged to punish the poor and protect the rich is our daily reality in America is appalling! 💙🇺🇸💙
