Kora - our Qween, or Kurowa (term created in Polish fan animated MLP parody, meaning more or less the same). She always ends up with some sort of crown somewhere on her head - made from piece of hay or sawdust.

You’re right, thank you for correcting me. Still, for what I’ve read - bunnies have an option of treatment, guinea pigs do not. Not any that would cure the illness/stop the progressing damage of nervous system.

The parasite is called E. cuniculi, it’s asymptomatic in rabbits. It’s easy to share it with a piggy, for which it will be a (slow) death sentence if it catches it.

Bunnies might be carriers of an illness that is untreatable, paralyzing and deadly for guinea pigs. Please look it up.

It helped me go through my grief. Many people told me it helped them when they lost their piggies, so I always share that.

I was listening to this song a lot when my first piggy suddenly passed away after losing fight with her illness. I grieved her very badly, so I decided to help myself by making this animation. Several people helped me, my friends made the song cover, instrumental track was also custom made.

It’s song from Winnie the Pooh movie from 90s that since I was a kid I was connecting with missing someone who passed away (I guess that in the movie the character just got lost and Winnie was looking for them, but I don’t remember). The song has subtitlesc, original is called „wherever you are”

They found an untreatable, huge cancerous tumor in her. At this point, we don't know how fast and heavily it will impact her, only that the only thing we have left is waiting and making her final days comfortable. I've been through such "waiting" once with Inka, when you can't do a thing, it sucks.

When things are bad, sometimes the only thing you can do is cuddle. I think I needed them more than Kora here...

I found out that yesterday was the Rainbow Bridge remembrance day.
Apart from several piggies, we've lost other friends over time. Meet Czarek, Robb, and Mruczek. Both hedgehogs had cancer; the kitty I grew up with passed away at 17. I might tell you about them one day if you'd like to listen.

Likewise. I’m just sad that treating these little ones with respect is considered kindness in our world, not human decency. But at least people like us try to change that.

Kora, our elderly, has ptsd after being a children toy. She was shaking when any human appeared in the same room. It took years for her to not panic with us.
We’ve adopted all of them too. Some from interventions, some tossed away, some because lovely owners got bored

Same here. And I’m becoming the weird one in the company when I treat them with respect, not buy the worst food possible and care for their needs. When I grieve? “Jfc, buy another one, they’re cheap”. When I pay sometimes a lot of money to vets when they need to? “Just toss them away”. Cruel.

He passed away on his own terms. It still is painful, but he decided he needed to rest and no longer fight.

Same thing happened few days ago locally in my country. I would jump in the flames or go broke to help my herd, and people lack basic humanity. “It’s just a rodent” pisses me off so much

Our elderly lady is also hard to wake up sometimes, so the horror lasts even longer! She’s then annoyed that we interrupted her beauty sleep
