I'm still angry at myself that back in the days when we had only her and Dzika as our first herd, I made care mistakes. One would say that I did my best with my knowledge, but when it comes to my pets, I hate myself for failing as a caregiver.

Sleepy Kora

We probably found the culprit of not eating! Kora had her stomatologist visit today and consultation afterwards (500 zł in total; thanks to the campaign, we could afford it, thank you!) I'm attaching the stomatologist's diagnosis in Polish, but...

No, thankfully.tumor in her bum makes it harder for her to walk, but she is otherwise healthy in that terms. She probably have some sort of dental issues (we have a visit tomorrow, finally, with the best small rodents stomatologist in our country; unfortunately we had to wait several weeks in line)

When Inka was in palliative care we felt like The Reaper lived with next to us in the apartment, waiting for the correct time. It was awful. I’m so sorry you both went through this, Ganache doesn’t suffer now. I’m certain he was thankful for the love he received in the most difficult moment.

Lymphoma is an awful cancer; we had to deal with it twice - once with piggy Dzika, once with a pygmy hedgehog. Both times it was excruciating and swift. You made the right choice. I'm sure he was grateful in his own way.

Help guinea pig eat again Kora, the elderly guinea pig lady, has never had an easy life. In her early days, she was taken by irresponsible people who made her and her friend dolls for their toddlers, where they were abused and...

Next step in Kora's treatment is a stomatologist visit, tomography and x-rays, she might also need surgical corrections on her teeth after a month without using them.

Please share it, you will help us a lot. Vet visits are costly.

Thank you^^ they need to have their nails trimmed, with my ongoing neuropathy it’s hard to control their swift movements, I need to go to vet to do it, I don’t trust my reflex at the moment not to hurt them by accident

I had two piggies living to old age, completely blind. They had no problems navigating and using other senses. One of them wheeked at me or other piggies in the herd when she felt lost, and I took her for example to veggies. My husband joked that she had manipulated me to carry her.

Kora has pneumonia, this is the first time she tries to eat by herself since two days. I’m so happy even if we still have a long fight in front of us, this illness is hard on elderly guinea pigs
But we’re going to do whatever we can.
I might need to open commissions to be able to afford vet further

Kora still hardly eats by herself (but tries to). Every test came back ok (for her age and cancer) and shouldn't be the reason. Next step is a stomatologist appointment in the middle of November (great doctor, that was the earliest date available).
So we will continue to feed her as long as needed.

Update on Kora:
She is still syringe-fed every 3h, but occasionally tries to eat by herself, normal food and hay. It way not enough to feed herself and keep her weight, so we help her. As you can see, her fav oat grass is taken well (eaten on old shirt stained with critical care food).

Kora has untreatable cancer, currently has almost nonexistent appetite. The fact that she ate her (favourite) cucumber, when we spent another day feeding her with a syringe, really warmed my heart, so I had to draw her

Two years ago, Inka lost her fight with cancer.
She always loved to bother Dzika (Wildling) to be her best buddy (to the great discontent of Dzika)
Can I sit next to you? A little closer? Love me!
Last year, Dzika joined the herd behind the Rainbow Bridge. I can see their meeting going like this.

I didn't know I would live to the day that Joga, piggy that hated humanity for a good reason, would purr during cuddles.
Our hard work to show her how to trust paid off.
Another reason to fight this stupid illness - for them.
