Recently started working as an ESL teacher.
I don't think it is for me. There are so many things that go against all I learnt whilst teaching in the (secondary) classroom and through CPD.

Apples universal control is awful. Why does it work so inconsistently? Sign out, sign back in, reboot, restart, mess about, repeat. The next device will not be made by Apple & all of their OSes can get in the bin!

It's really stressing me out and I already feel that I'm spiralling. I just don't know what to do or where to turn.

Have taken a position to become an ESL teacher to try and make a bit of money to get by but honestly don't know if I'll get through their 'training' week. The method and the whole thing just feels a bit off and lots goes against how I trained during my PGCE and my own values/beliefs. [2/..]

SO my job hunt has been really shitty. Last place is either not responding to reference request or is giving something shitty (I know that they've done this at least once!).

Today has mostly been spent installing Ubuntu on the old Surface Pro, trying to get steam running - I want to try as bit of gaming on Linux, and trying. to run my cupboard inventory app on my little homeserver. Nothing is going as expected. Damn it!

Trying to pick up an older project of mine, which means yet again I'm not working on my gamedev stuff. THis project though, which I am sure there are alreqady many like it, is something that ahs been on my mind for a LONG time and is something I need (well at tleast this initial stage) now.

I reallly like tech and if I had money I'd be buying stuff all of the time. BUT this need to have us/ourselves connected constantly is insane. Giving more data to the likes of Zuck the cuck (or is he just a weird lizard?) seems mental. Especially when his stuff is so crappy.
