There is a rule of opposition to authoritarian politics that I really like - "The Stalin Rule" - based on this principle. No purity testing. Don't need to rehabilitate. Just use her.

I like the analogy. A nation is a labor.

A Fence that falls apart isn't a bad fence. It just needs maintenance.

It's besides the point. Focus your fire on the target - which is the guy who is now in the process of destroying America. We can figure out the rest later - when we win.

And? Should we not take the hint and get more aggressive against fascism before he puts the entire country into camps?

He's playing MAGA's game, and he is winning. MAGA got powerful doing exactly what he is doing.

We are fighting actual Hitler.

You fight that with courage and speed, not sitting around looking for a perfect person. The left is divided - they don't agree about anything. Get over it and get to work. If Newsom draws blood - good. Copy it, do your own thing, and iterate until Trump is defeated.

Play dirty. These guys are dangerous. Nothing except violence should be off the table.

We need to stop wringing our hands and get aggressive - and the people are demanding it. Listen to them.

He's not the savior of the republic.

He's doing the right thing in the narrow context of Trump. We should be doing exactly what he is doing right now - hit him as hard as we can.

We still believe in America.

If you think Newsom is like Trump - you don't understand the trouble we are in. He is punching through, and demonstrating a fighting spirit and the correct anger. Newsom is pissed, and he is getting aggressive.

That's the spirit we need at all levels.

Actually Newsom is demonstrating leadership here - and we been begging for it. He isn't the perfect vessel - but it's enough. Take the win, learn something and move onto the next target.

They aren't happy with us - but it's the concern of a friend going through a rough patch. It's up to us to prove we are better.

Protecting democracy from ruin absolutely requires that we get into the comfort zone of authoritarians and insult and belittle them.

The 'memecrime' as we affectionally call it is a hilarious rallying cry to the subtle art of mockery and subversion.

Cuban pays his people well. He's just saying the people that do should have an advantage over those that don't.

I agree with him. We use the tax code to adjust behavior all the time.

Of all the things that annoy me in this rancid era of American history - being forced to participate in the Attention Economy is the worst.

All this that you want is 'spending' political capital. Focus on acquiring it, and you do that by organizing candidates at the local level that fit the demo of the area.
