every once in a while I remember that I have multiple bands I should occasionally promote, after which I continue not promoting them

same here, it was really weird the first time I listened to Jester Race digitally and it just ended after Dead God in Me

if you're gonna pick four, these are a pretty fantastic set tbh

honestly, I loop Lunar Strain and Subterranean together in my mind because the CD rerelease I owned just had them on the same disc - same with Jester Race and Black Ash Inheritance

Lunar Strain and Come Clarity catching strays but otherwise this is pretty accurate

sometimes things sound good because they sound bad and no one needs to know that that was the full extent of the thought process

that would be an option were they not playing back-to-back!

frustratingly, I have shirts for Inter Arma and Rolo Tomassi and love both bands but they play the same day so I can't rep them both while they're on

dealing with the most difficult part of packing for a fest: deciding what bands' shirts I'm wearing and on which days

oh yeah, I've done a lot of digging for more tech thrash like this over the years but nothing quite hits the balance between classic-style riffing and insane technicality that CC does

listening to it now and it's so fucking good, I wish we had so many more albums of this

upside: more Meshuggah thrash, no bad djent bands

downside: no Meshuggah djent

imagine the world if Meshuggah stayed a really weird thrash band instead of inventing djent

Contradictions Collapse is a top 3 Meshuggah album, Justice-era Metallica riffs with hyper-dissonant Thordendal solos is such a fun combination

they haven't been to the US in 15 years! I'm only getting the chance to see them by traveling to England so I'm really excited about it

they're apparently putting out an album later this year! I'm seeing them next week, hopefully they play some new songs there
