Generally speaking I think imagining relationship drama that happened between various characters in 40k makes it much more fun to read. All that Drama and sex and unresolved feelings between them. But they have a war going on and they can’t think about that!!

Sometimes I read 40k with the headcanon that Magnus and Leman had a tentative romantic/sexual relationship that went sour when they got into an argument and Magnus said sex was all Leman was good for. No basis in canon beyond existing for my very specific drama loving mind
