Still processing... Next week, I take over some of Dan's teaching and hope that I measure up :-).

Thank you, Piali. Dan was a strong pillar of support for all of our trainees. And for me, too.

For >35 years his leadership & expertise shaped the Dept of Molecular & Cellular Physiology. Dan did experiments himself throughout his career; producing insight into how the brain develops and adapts to flexibly support learning, memory, and survival. He will be missed.

It is with a heavy heart that I share the unexpected news that our colleague, friend, and mentor Daniel Madison passed away on Thursday, October 9.
