I cannot recommend Mike's reply enough. It's exactly what readers need to hear, what journalists need to do.

The truth is that the surest way to defang and eventually normalize Russia is to accelerate the transition from fossil fuels.

Their economy and ability to maintain their threatening military power is almost wholly dependent on fossil fuel exports.
