Social media is not social experience. The bread and butter of companies like Meta is pulling peoples attention onto their platforms. Once here, our attention is harvested for ad revenue. We are led to believe that this is all a social interaction, but are we really spending time with anyone at all?

Towns, counties, states, conservancy organizations, land trusts should hold on to as much public hand to be held and used for public good. Whether it’s losing the common at Copley or hundreds of thousands of acres in Utah and Arizona, public land is for the public.
