The nation's landmark voting rights law just turned 60. It may not survive Trump. “The long-term game is to repeal the Voting Rights Act.”

Voting Rights Act turns 60 today but under dire threat

-SCOTUS conservatives preparing to kill what’s left of law

-Trump's Texas power grab dismantles districts held by Black & Latino Dems

Today marks the sixtieth anniversary of the Voting Rights Act's passage in Congress.

Democratic senators should ignore GOP attacks over not confirming Trump's nominees, and instead go on the offensive: Attack Republican senators for not voting to release the Epstein files. And urge voters to go to Republican senators' town halls or find them elsewhere to challenge them on this.

Kamala Harris has misgivings about government. Some Dems have misgivings about her. There’s a swath of the party that would be glad if Harris doesn’t run in 2028 — or campaign actively in the midterms.

The discourse needs to get smarter. We don’t need national profile
Democrats “campaigning” as much as we need them digging in and building pro-democracy infrastructure.

More grassroots, more media, more solution-making, more fundraising.

And not just (or even mostly) in election season.

That assessment would be grounded in the following truth: That the things which men can do to make themselves more attractive are things which actually improve society.

Third, it would be comfortable talking about the fact that men want to get laid and offer advice for how they might do that if it's something they're struggling with. Finally, it would provide a true assessment of romance and attraction—one in which they were not societally zero-sum, but win-win.

What would a progressive narrative look like? First, it would not be motivated by fear and hatred of women. Second, it would consider masculinity healthy and valuable rather than being ashamed of it.

It was the Cons making the argument to release the documents. It was the Cons promising to release the documents.

Either those were lies and distractions all along from them, or there is something they now want to hide. Or both.

See? Not too hard to respond to.

It is fucking insane that we had a decade of people complaining about the dangers of cancel culture, and now literally hundreds of thousands of people are being purged from government jobs for ideological reasons, but that is not cancel culture.

What’s the most extreme thing Trump might do to distract from his close friendship & party relationship with Epstein?

✅ Threaten to deport US citizen political opponents (Mamdani, etc.)

✅ Sue conservative newspaper

✅ Accuse former President of treason

❓ More & worse? Military conflict?
