Either that or know that a personalized message is way cooler, despite the monetary value.

30.01.2026 15:42 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I couldnβt do an audiobook while working, but I do think it would be a way to get through some of that middle slog of The Wheel of Timeβ¦

22.01.2026 23:09 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0We went to the May 29 game against Hillsboro. Then our flight was cancelled on the morning of June 1. We werenβt sure what to do all day, so we went and saw them play again. Arias, Coffey, and Hornung are all exciting players, too. I was surprised how good that level of baseball was.
22.01.2026 12:27 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I saw Arjun Nimmala playing for the Canadians last year on a trip to Vancouver. It is easy to dream on that young man putting it all together and becoming a star.
21.01.2026 21:01 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I wouldnβt be upset with getting him, but I think the Jays want a bit more pop than Kwan can offer. He certainly would fit into their lineup, though.

As a #BlueJays fan, I am sad to see Bichette go. I am excited for the team, though.
The market is wild right now, and the short-term, high dollar deals are great for these players, but I donβt think theyβre great for the game. I wish Bo well in New York. At least heβs not with Boston or the Yanks.
Kyle Tucker not becoming a Jay makes Bo Bichetteβs return to the Jays a lot more likely, one would think.
16.01.2026 04:44 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I loved Kingβs Quest. Roberta Williams is still one of the greatest game designers in my mind. Space Quest was great, too!

15.01.2026 13:11 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I definitely remember this one by cover, but I donβt remember much gameplay. I feel like there was an upper floor where you could look down a staircase at a lower floor, but I may be mixing that up with another game.

Also, not just my favourite βcancelled too soonβ show: itβs my favourite show, period.
At least the showrunners were given the chance to wrap it up nicely.
They didnβt offer enough to have him eschew free agency, but he now has seen what free agency has to offer. It will give both him and the front office a better sense of his value. No reason to suppose just because the Jays didnβt pay before free agency that they wonβt do so during free agency.

In the past week or so I finally got around to seeing One Battle After Another, The Substance, and Anora.
Anyone who says, βThey donβt make good movies anymore!β obviously isnβt paying attention.

They managed to pull it off. I am super satisfied with how it all wrapped up.
As an β80s kid, I agree wholeheartedly.
Thanks for five great seasons to everyone involved!
My favourite of the year was One Battle After Another, but in the horror genre it was either Weapons or Sinners. I loved both. I think Weapons surprised me more, but Michael B. Jordanβs performance in Sinners was fantastic. I wouldnβt be surprised to see both him and the movie up for an Oscar.

Nice list! A few in there I missed and must see now.
Sight & Sound has both Weapons and Sinners in their top ten, and I canβt disagree. I donβt think it happens too often that a couple of the top overall films of the year also happen to be horror movies, much as I enjoy the genre.
Name one movie from your childhood you were way too young to watch.
29.12.2025 15:46 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Given their ethics, their general quality, and the addition of ad-free podcasts, The Verge is a worthwhile subscription for me, but I can see why the paywall is annoying. I think they are planning on expanding their free content (or making it more obvious) in the near future (if not already).
27.12.2025 16:41 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0βHave Yourself a Merry Little Christmasβ is my number one, too. The original Garland version is great, but there are so many other solid versions using the Sinatra lyrics. The story of the lyrics from βMeet Me in St. Louisβ is interesting; it could have been a very different song.

07.11.2025 03:25 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thatβs my thought, too. Either way, the Jays profit from this. I really wanted to see a full year but figured it would be big money to see it happen.
