Took a few weeks off of morning meetings with the team around Christmas.

So it was a short lived thing, but very nice

Yea I had something similar for a while that tried to read my sleep rhythm and wake me up when I wasn't in a cycle. It worked well... but with my wife in the same bed I had to stop using it.

My goal for the next year or two is to be able to naturally wake up without alarms. way better that way!

It is one of my most hated things.

Same thing with me, waking up in awkward sleep phases and you just feel worse than you could have all day

Back to using an alarm clock 🥹

If I could tell my 4 year ago self after quitting my job, that I would be able to spend thousands on testing every idea and product we come up with

... I would have believed it haha, but still be incredibly thrilled!

So powerful to be able to run ads and all kinds of stuff when testing ideas

Definitely is. Don't want to oversell what I've been doing.

Just committing to a couple hours at most of dedicated focus knowing I wont be interrupted.

Still enjoying time off

Holidays are peaceful.

Its not that I stop building and working on stuff, its that I can grind away on what I want and can ignore socials and have way less interruptions (in a positive way) from customers.

Absolutely! Thats actually why I added it now. I didn't get it in time for Black Friday and that was a mistake...

Made sure to have it in place for the upcoming holiday discounts we are going to run

Finally took the time to add an annual plan to BluePilot...

These days I build it in right away for products, but for some reason didn't do it when launching BluePilot 🤷

Decided to change up the data gathering strategy for Local Leads. I have some secret sauce that finds leads that the big players don't have but it takes time to roll out for every location.

Am restricting to Ontario, Canada to start since that's home base #buildinpublic

Why do I keep picking projects that require such large data sets (10-100 millions of rows) 😢

I prefer when I can just write inefficient data queries and get away with it
