Yeah I have no idea how common enhanced IDs are - if it would even be worth it for them. Either not enough, or too many.

But when I took their picture, I was the only vehicle next to them at a stoplight. If they had a scanner running, I would have likely been the only one that showed up.

In theory it's so they can be read from a distance at border crossings while you're in your car.

The chip just has an ID number, no actual info - then they match the ID to what's in DHS databases... which ICE certainly has access to.

No idea if they have readers here though. Just a possibility
