I slow down and tell myself that if I'm keeping score, that's a signal of struggle I need to pay attention to. Then I decide what kinds of intimacy/connection bids I would like from someone and try to have a conversation where I ask for what I want/need instead of critiquing what isn't there.

Please be patient with folks you're working with, retail workers, service providers etc. So many of us our navigating burnout, overwhelm, & input way higher than our nervous system can handle. This can make us short-tempered & impatient, but the person we need stuff from is feeling this too.

Depends. If they feel like they're genuinely trying that's a different thing. Do they show up defensively when corrected, or do they seem to want to respect you? Are they open to practicing on their own? Do they get it right more and more often?
If they're not trying, I'd be a lot more impatient.
