Anyone else watching CH4 'Handcuffed: Last Pair Standing?'
The producer who cuffed the ex prison officer to the toff with a Hitler painting on his wall deserves a BAFTA
My colleague's husband has started a business as a croupier for hire, and all of the bookings they've had so far have been weddings, so they've started doing all the fayres!

I appreciate this isn't the full definition(being pressured against their will)
01.03.2026 13:48 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Poor phrasing from me, sorry, but point still stands that if it does exist it's also working for them everytime a family votes right wing 'because Dad says that's how to get rid of the immigrants'
01.03.2026 13:48 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0The funny bit about all the 'family voting' chat is that if any Reform MPs were actually working class they'd know that a lot of the women who vote for them blindly do so, so they're shooting themselves in the foot by trying to stop it.

Commemoration of the Red Ribbon Rebellion in the Australian goldfields. Lots of Chartist involvement. The flag, first flown in 1853, now hangs in Bendigo Trades Hall (just round the corner from the stones). Could be the only surviving Chartist banner anywhere in the world!

Honestly really happy to have a working class person elected on nothing but good faith promises and unity

'When I told him I was seeing you today, he asked again if you would ever come back' [to his school] and 'you had him fooled, as he thought you were great' 🥺
Proof that half of most education jobs is confidently blagging some lessons 😂
Cute moment from my day: a careers lead we work with thought I'd realised that in prev teaching job (at another school) I'd taught her son.
It was long term cover in y7 computing, and I worried they were falling behind all the time because I can't code, so it was a learning curve for all of us.

I hadn't thought about it this way, but defending the tories own system when even they've changed tack just to keep using HE as your scapegoat really is a *choice* for Labour
