The Entire Croods 2 Script

Grug: …thanks.

Ugga: Much joy to you too.

Hope: Oh! They speak beautifully.

Phil: We… happy… meet… you…

Hope: In hearts…

Phil and Hope: …much joy!

Phil: ...cave people.

Hope: I thought cave people died off years ago.

Phil and Grug stare at each other for a few seconds.

Grug: Banana?

Hope: It's trying to communicate.

Phil: Hope, these are people!

Phil pulls a rope, dropping the Croods from their net.

Hope pokes her stick at the net.

Hope: Jab. Jab. Jab.

As Gran is poked she eats the entire stick.

Phil: Wait a moment, look past the matted pelts and gnashing teeth. The eyes, there's a kind of humanity in them.

The other plank opens, revealing another person behind.

Hope: Don't get too close. Who knows what kind of weird... beyond the wall creatures they are. Let's just jab at them, from afar.

The planks stop in front of them. A hatch opens up on one of them, revealing a beautiful male human face behind it.

Phil: Something got over the wall.

Ugga: It's getting closer!

The planks walk quickly towards them. They pull out long sticks.

Grug: Kill circle?

Gran: What is that?

They look into the forest to see what appears to be two large planks walking towards them.

Guy: What's happening? I can't see.

Chunky continues to drink calmly, he hears the screaming from far away. As the Croods are tied up in the net, they hear another distant sound.

Eep: Do you guys hear that?

Grug reaches the banana and pulls it on its branch.

Grug: Come here, sweet thing.

Suddenly two Chicken-Seals come down and scream at the family. A net is then raised up, trapping the Croods.

Grug: No words could describe it, Thunk. No words are good enough.

Grug reaches out for the banana, it's shown that the family is lifting him up to it.

Eep: We get it, dad! Just grab the banana!

Grug: Well, I ate that banana in one bite, and ever since, a day hasn't gone by without me thinking about it...

Thunk: What was it like, father? What was it like?

Grug slowly walks towards the banana.

Grug: I tasted one once, long, long ago. It was summer, the sun was warm on my shoulders, flowers were in high bloom, I was just a cub...

Grug: I... can't eat... another bite.

He then spots something in the distance. It's a singular banana, hanging from a tree.

Grug: Yes I can. Ba - na - na.

Thunk: Banana?

We cut to the family lying down, exhausted from eating so much.

Thunk: I don't feel like eating anymore. Mom, am I sick?

Ugga: No honey, you're full.

Thunk: Full feels weird.

We cut to various shots of the Croods frantically eating massive fruits. There's a breif cut to Chunky calmly drinking water from a pond, only to cut back to the family eating, appearing more hyperactive as the scene goes on.

They all run into the food. Thunk runs straight into a giant fruit, Ugga jumps into another. Sandy bites from a butterfly's wing.

Grug cracks open a large fruit with Gran hiding inside. Gran spits seeds at Grug, before the two start forcebly shoving food into each other's mouths.

The Croods run wildly through the field. Guy stops to look around.

Guy: Isn't it strange how this food grows in perfectly straight--

He's cut off by the family running into him.

The Croods break free and run into the field.

Grug: --and, and you're welcome! I did this. Problem solved.

Grug's stomach rumbles, so he runs into the field after them.

Grug: Woo-hoo!

Grug: Woah woah woah! Just a minute, just a minute! No no, wait!

Grug grabs his whole family together as they struggle to break free.

Grug: This is our home! A place we'll always be together forever, and ever--

Thunk: Oh, now he's not looking!

Thunk trues to run ahead, but Grug grabs him.

Grug: Woah, woah!

The entire family starts mumbling and mindlessly heading towards the field, Grug tries to hold all of them back.

Grug: Here, right here, all your needs will be met--

Gran: I'm hungry!

Grug: I N A M I N U T E !

Grug: Let this flag mark the day I discovered our home! Filled with flowers, and butterflies, and a sweet babbling brook!

Guy and Eep look at each other, confused.

Thunk: You're the best dad ever! Let's eat!

Grug: Woah, woah, one moment Thunk. Before we eat, I'd like to say a few words.

Grug plants a small stick flag in the ground.

The clouds behind Grug fade to reveal a massive field of large fruits. The family all gasp as they walk up.

Eep: Look at all this food!

Grug: It's not the end.

Grug's voice is heard from behind the wall. He breaks it open from the other side.

Grug: It's just the beginning! Welcome to our tomorrow!

Gran: Looks like I've seen it all... Well, that's it for me. I'm glad it's you Chunky.

Gran walks into Chunky's mouth.

Thunk: What is it mom? Make it leave!

Guy: There's something about this...

Guy and Eep put their hands against the wall.

Eep: I think it's... the end of the world.

By following, the Croods eventually come up on a large wall, with light shining through it's holes.

Belt: Dun dun... dun?

Eep: What is that? I've never seen anything like it.
