Literally, my 4 year old phone that has had one HARD life shows less wear and scratching than my brand new phone that I've been treating like it might scratch or break at any time. I'm NOT happy.

Part-time alien on the internet. Enjoys video games, art and, well, making video games. Beware random thoughts and posts that are as connected as two magnetic south poles. Parents, talk to your kids about science, before somebody else does ;P

17.11.2025 10:49 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0The one thing I regret doing this year is buying a new phone. It's an S25 FE. I've had it just over a month now. I've been treating it like gold. The top of the screen is already scratched up from heavens-know-what, the charge is kinda sad, and the phone can do nothing I couldn't do on my S21 FE.
17.11.2025 10:48 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0All of this for a machine that cannot do what it's advertised to do as it either A) provides answers that it does not understand to questions it does not understand where the in/correctness of the answer is purely coincidental or B) just produces bland, uninspiring slop.
16.11.2025 11:09 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Honestly, I don't think my problem with a lot of AI is that it's bad for the environment, bad for people, and bad for the future... it's that it wouldn't be worth the effort even if it were none of these things.
16.11.2025 11:06 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Just so we are 100% clear: ChatGPT is not a source.
I'd say it's on par with saying your source is "Google", but really it's "My source is a guy whose nickname is 'Sir Lies-a-lot'."
Chiral! One hour of sleep a night edition...
13.11.2025 03:40 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0The realisation that if you had a nickel for every time Apple TV had two shows that were similar enough that it's weird that it happened twice, you'd have two nickels :)

05.11.2025 19:23 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0The solution to this problem? We need to slow way down on how much we are taking this stuff from the ground and putting it in the air.
05.11.2025 19:21 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0The problem isn't that we have no good ways to take the CO2 out of the air. We have plenty of them. The problem is we can't do it as fast as we're mining carbon from underground and burning it to make CO2.
05.11.2025 19:14 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0"Man, imagine if we could just take CO2 from the air and turn it into useful products."
My guy, I have this wonderful invention I have to show you. It's called "plants", and they literally take CO2 from the air, and turn it into useful products.
Yay. I'm still feeling terribly sick, but my sense of smell is back! Food will finally taste right again!
30.10.2025 08:28 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Today I learned that not only can you somehow get written a script for alternative and complementary medicine... you can get generics for it.
No thanks. If this stuff worked, you'd have gotten it approved by now.
I mean. I MEAN...

10.10.2025 04:29 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Honestly, this might as well be a lot of modern conspiracy theories in a nutshell. Or the "basic biologists" who keep insisting that things have to be the way they learnt them in high school, despite the fact that they went to high school in something like the mid-80's.
