This weekend was game day, and on tap was a first-time play of Brew by Pandasaurus Games @pandasaurusgames.com! It took a LOT longer than the suggested play time, but we had fun.

I like that there is some randomness in the game, and that there are multiple strategies and scoring methods.

The Good, The Bad, and The Muppets.

Recipes I can/will make out of this cookbook are on the more basic side: 🥒の酢の物、🦑のぬた、手羽元のしょうゆマーマレード、豚の角煮、ふろふき大根、plus some techniques.

I mean, I'm not going to be making sashimi from the Aldi seafood section, nor am I going to be breaking down whole chickens to make yakitori or making udon noodles from scratch.

I bought this blind without looking at it and it's a beautiful book and I love and miss izakaya fare, but there's not a lot of practical use in there for me because of kitchen, equipment, and dietary restrictions, plus ingredient availability.
