i know i’m catastrophizing. the reality is that we have to wait and see what it is and how bad it is. and i know that, but my brain only accepts worst-case scenarios and that in itself feels like i’ll make it worse by expecting it.

anxiety is such a bitch because you will be haunted by grief your entire life and you just have to keep believing things will be okay. you can’t borrow it from the future. but then something happens that proves it right and i still don’t know how you ever recover again.
