When you're like me and you've been submitting stories for 7 years, you start appreciating more the quick rejection markets. Still a rejection, but they let you move on, instead of leaving you hanging for months
--and sometimes, in the worst cases, just disappearing

Living in a non-English speaking country brings to eleven the silliness of the comments from aspiring writers.
I had this friend who complained that the "Kenobi" series was poorly acted. After watching it dubbed.
Now, this fellow writer is yelling how he hates Dickens' style--its translation.

A hero capturing the zeitgeist for every generation:

Boomers: Batman (Keaton), Indiana Jones;
Gen X: The Hulk (TV);
Xennials (older millennials): Iron Man;
Younger millennials: Harry Potter, Goku;
Gen Z: ???

Cliffhanger endings are not necessarily unsatisfying.
"Lost" left us every year with a "bang!" Even when, before and after, the plot kept being a mess.
Hated the S1 finale of "The Boys". But, in hindsight, it was a great way to strengthen the conflict.

I think TV series have started declining when they started having season finales with unsatisfying endings. I understand the need to sell the next season, but if you ask me to follow a story for many hours, and you don't bother closing your plots/arcs, you wasted my time

I subscribed to "Marvel Unlimited", thinking the craziest thing I'll find would Deadpool or something. Instead, I just read a story where Iron Man and Doctor Doom team up to fight a symbiote-controlled Santa Claus.
