At some point we may come to the conclusion that the pact between the states is irreparably broken.

At a certain point, it's a practical question: what value are we getting from our financial and social investment in America? Currently, the answer is occupied cities, brutal violent raids, and infrastructure projects held hostage at the whims of Trump.

People in blue states are asking what value exactly we're getting from our tax dollars and our citizenship this week. The Trump Regime clearly doesn't care, and hasn't thought through the potential consequences.

FWIW I'm not necessarily in favor of this idea. Especially since I have so much family living in red states. Mostly I'm just noting that the conversations I'm hearing are more radical as Trump continues his shakedown. People are looking for a way out of this.
