Healslimes in Dragon Quest games are usually really cute. But in Dragon Quest X you can equip normal player equipment to monsters, and healslimes use wands and shields, which is super adorable. #dqx

Tomorrow was a sorta "to be decided" type stream day but we're definitely playing some Final Fantasy XI. Didn't get enough time into it earlier this week due to internet weirdness, and the new update is out so we got lots to check out.

As well as this, I feel quite strongly that the increased prominence in recent years of social media influencers who engage in nothing but ragebait content and harassment has proverbially sucked all the air out of the room, content mills producing bullshit at speed who dominate gaming conversations.

God I'm loving the new zones in Version 2 of Dragon Quest X. This jungle is so pretty, and looks better in motion with all the water and mist moving around. #dqx

Watching Gigi play Goblin Cleanup and the third person view certainly is... something. Wide hipped goblin with very short skirt. Very good yes, even more interested in buying the game now. Last I played its early demo I think there was only first person mode? And no customization.

Ended a bit earlier than originally planned, so it was only a "short" 6 hour stream. Brain go mush, not used to streaming later in the day apparently. Did us a whole bunch of crafting, decided to be a tailor, and bought us a house up in the mountains. It's got a bed and a sewing table, and thats it.

Oh. Apparently the bf has an odd late shift tomorrow. So... May take that to do a later stream than usual. Maybe push it up 2 or 3 hours? So maybe we do Dragon Quest X at 11am-6pm or 12-7pm Eastern?

Honestly I'm only even playing the first one to get to the other two. And skipping the first game guarantees that Wrex dies. I can't let that happen.

Playing some mass effect since DQX is down for maint, and uh. I'm starting to realize this game is really showing its age.

Oh uh. Apparently I got the times wrong and Dragon Quest X maintenance is tonight. As in, just started. Well guess I'm not getting any more progress done in that game till tomorrow's stream.

Also there's practice areas that just.... give you materials so you can make stuff to get exp and first time bonuses. This shit is cosmic exploration from FFXIV but like a decade earlier.

Leveling weaponsmith for crafting in Dragon Quest X right now. Simple but fun little mini game with some mechanics going on.

I can log into Final Fantasy XIV now, so that's good. Could log into FFXI as well but got a different error but I think it's down for maintenance for this months update. So whatever was up with the ol' internet seems to be fixed.

Also, cancelled my FFXIV sub so I have 9 days to do the deep dungeon.

Just got an email from YouTube that's like "Hey, we're about to enable Automatic Dubbing on your channel! Yay! 🙂"

No. Fuck off. At least there seems to be an option to turn it off now, but pretty sure I already looked for this feature and it was set to "off". Garbage.

However, while DQX uses the same account system, we connect to it via VPN, so that changes our routing. There's some server somewhere shitting the bed. I'll test it again shortly to see if it's fixed itself up.

Probably gonna play FFXI on Friday because of the new monthly rollover & new patch.

For the FFXI thing, as far as I can tell it's likely a weird routing thing. Our internet is working fine, and everyone else seems to connect, but for some reason I can't get a decent connection to Square's account servers. FFXI and FFXIV both fail, and mogstation is super slow to load.

Well it was a day. We got some good stuff done in FFXI, and started upgrading our RUN artifact & relic gear to +1 so we can use it. Then went off to level SCH before Square decided it hates us.

So we swapped to Dragon Quest X and did some grinding and increased our level cap to 90.

For whatever reason, I got disconnected from Final Fantasy XI and can't connect to any of them through my normal internet. But Dragon Quest X works since we play that through a VPN so we swapped to that game instead!

Goddamn these items ain't dropping in DQX. And due to metal slime events happening while I was grinding for them I'm now level 79... I was grinding for level 75 gear but may as well do the limit break quest then start grinding for level 80 gear if I can.

Also for anyone who hasn't noticed, my writing style is best described as "barely coherent ramblings of a madman about something he's currently obsessed with".
