A convoluted process

For 20yrs this sign lay unused
Nov 24 we created Street Art
Jan 25 our art was altered with paint style not repeated anywhere else in city
Feb 25 board is knocked off & twisted away from road
July 25 board is removed totally

The Council posted on their website that they've "requested" the owners of 62-64 N. Main St carry out work to stabilise the buildings as they're at risk of collapsing i to the street. They're not the only buildi gs in this condition in the city centre, they're not even the only ones on that street.

Lots of slightly off things about this report, not least the fact that the increase in Derelict Sites on the register is not a sign of more dereliction but a change in how the council is tackling the issue by making more site 'officially derelict'.

Agree its not accurate reporting
As you say numbers registered have increased but not necessarily nos going derelict & nos reported are only tip of iceberg
What report should say is Dublin City Council are finally starting to enforce law in place since 1990

Can someone tell Dublin City Council there is a housing emergency in Dublin & across Ireland

The solution to date for these 7 beautiful historic homes they own in Chapelizod, Dublin is to let them rot

Only the wealthy can afford to sit on empty properties
A walk down Adelaide St in historic Cork city centre is another stark reminder of this, the area is being destroyed
