Yep, not real news! I care a lot about the content because I want to be informed. Seems to be harder and harder to find the good ones. I don't endorse any of em, but that those last 4 on the screenshot here with shipwrecked is the only eyes I have on the situation. I welcome any additions to list 😃

Also, my current news sources are list based and these are the latest ones Iv settled on, though I disagree with many things. Earlier on I had larger news sources but created a rule that any news that directed to a paywall wasn't worth the journalism.

I would, but unfortunately I tamped it down to not allow any followers, sorry. It's not as good as it was anyways now since things changed. What can be done is search for the country under attack and instead of viewing the popular tab (hacked of course) search recent tab, weed thru to get a gist...

Appreciate the couple of responses, it at least shows we can still voice our concerns, even though the firehose of news is being filtered as evidenced by trending topics. I specifically don't typically engage in politics here on this account but wanted to see if the message would at least be seen.

Thanks Alf, This could be true, but the abscense of anything about I_R*n or anything to do with it is very concerning. Regarding the fascist in Chief, I have that term blocked, but still did get all the worldly news in despite it.

Thank you Stritch, I get it, I am also to a certain extent but I feel like unseen policies are taking advantage of the users here. I could
count on getting an accurate sense of what is actually happening in my news feed, but that has left now. I have to search it out myself.

Sometimes silence speaks louder than words, and I have no doubts that AI is being used for this. Maybe it's the end of SM as we know it.

In response to my post below, I'm not just about music, and so I run a separate accounts on different topics. One of them is specifically about news because I like to stay informed. I'm noticing that there is c@ns/er*ship here that did not exist before. (Things not showing) Anyone else noticing it?

A break from our spinning for a second. I think this need to be said: These cannot be the true 'trending' topics affecting things, considering current events. I noticed it weeks ago with the horrendous events then (and still now) Bluesky is hoodwinking, and that ain't good. Free is an illusion here.

Yeah, that black hole of death where LPs died. Found some 'if you gotta have em' can be found in Europe. They hung on a little longer. It's a good rule, and agree but I struggle with it for various reasons. Original pressing sound can't be beat imo!

Has finger smudges and whatever else that doesn't show up in pics. 😃 Something you can look for in person.

Yep one of the good reasons I got back into them. I remembered how happy we were with just playing albums. The 70s and 80s reached a point of perfection and then the 'lie' of the CD captivated everyone, me included! (Just thinking out loud)

That's for sure! One of the things I like about albums as opposed to singles, getting to hear how it all works together.
