I ran the numbers on the Macca's Big Arch burger (the one the Macca's CEO could hardly stomach) it's like 1000 kcals. That's only the burger before fries or drink. That's about two thirds of the calories that I eat in a typical day. Wowza!

Fries are so mid. They get cold after two minutes and then they are awful. Give me pickled onion, sauerkraut or even kimchi as a side. Something that's still salty but with heaps more flavour.

I had another fantastic Mardi Gras parade last weekend, I was better prepared this year so I enjoyed it more.

Both deer and birds flock together.

I've been swapping red meat for tofu dishes lately, even with my bean salads; I have been using tofu instead of tuna. I have also cut down on my cheese consumption. It's not about all-or-nothing; gradual improvements over time work.

There are levels of cooking or meal prep and I get that not everyone has the time/energy to soak and cook beans from scratch to make the burrito but hiring a burrito taxi is never not a luxury.

I'm tending towards that way. I can't deny how my cholesterol levels have improved simply by eating more fibre, plants and less saturated fat coming from animal products.

It's kind of the same with drinking. I know it's not optimal to consume alcohol, empty calories, known carcinogenic, etc but the social price is too high to go tee total. I work hard to get a social life going so I don't want to threaten it by choosing oddball dietary habits in public settings.

I'm flirting with more of a whole foods plant based way of eating lately I wouldn't call it vegan because I feel that's more of a political stance than personal food choices. I feel that it would harm my social life being unable to have an ice-cream or burrito bowl with friends if I went that far.

People have a disconnect from how labour intensive fursuit making is. It's an artisan craft that much is for sure.

Everyone who complains about suitmaker prices I think should legally be required to make a heavily padded fullsuit from scratch (no premade parts or bases to help along the way) and then write me an essay about what they actually think prices for that work should be
