I <3 what I THINK is the (or one of the) pre-Christian belief(s) that the cross represents the wheel of the year and that Brigit is a goddess of seasonal renewal. It makes me think that maybe spring really is coming soon. I may have also made up this whole thing in a desperate need for sunshine. :)

Most of mine came from Willowbrook in New York. I'm doing some work/trade weekends for it, and mostly taking the smaller cuttings. Vermont Willow in Fairfield has longer one you can buy for streambank restoration. I suspect longer ones would also be nice for avoiding having to use landscape fabric.

A random wreathy thing I made recently with off-cuts from processing basketry willow for cuttings. I trimmed all those pointy ends off later but haven't taken an updated picture.
