“I need to do my best to become a better partner for you because you are already the best.” Touya kisses his cheek. “You know, I’m having a family dinner at the end of the week, wanna come with me?”

“Like a real fancy family dinner?” Keigo winks.

“Sorry that I let them talk to you like that,” Touya sighed. 

“Well, I accept your apology. It was really nice of you to stick up for me today.”

and you’ll fucking regret. Now get out of my sight,” Touya lets go of his hair and the guy falls clumsily to the floor. 

He takes his stuff back from Keigo, going away with him.

“Okay, that was hot,” Keigo whispers, chirping. “Like damn, you really were intimidating.”

“Keigo, dear, could you hold my stuff, please?” Touya really tried to keep himself in check, but it was beyond him. “Thank you,” he smiles softly, while Keigo looks completely confused, and turns to that guy. “If you really want to mop the floor with your tongue,

“To my partner,” Touya barely holds his anger. “Apologise. Now.”

“Tsk. Bird fucker,” the guy rolls his eyes, looking at Keigo with undisguised disgust on his face. “I’d rather mop the entire hall with my tongue than apologise to that.”

And of course they try to do what they are used to do: attempting to humiliate Keigo, expecting some support from Touya.

“Apologise to him,” Touya looks at them coldly, hearing the insult. 

“To this mutant? Are you fucking nuts?”

Honestly, I never liked them.”

“No more fancy parties. And no more things you don’t like, promise.”

And Touya really keeps his promise. He ignores all of his ‘friends’ when he comes to the university and they aren’t pleased with that.

“Your friends don’t really see me as someone their level,” Keigo laughs nervously. 

“Well, I guess Tomura likes you. He was really ready to punch me for you.”

“Oh god, you finally made up with him!” Keigo finally smiles widely. “So, no more of these fancy parties?

“I promise, I’ll do my best to be a better boyfriend for you. I’ll never ever humiliate you again and won’t let anyone do it.”

“Hi,” Touya sits down across from him, smiling guiltily. “I’m sorry.”

“Why?” Keigo looks confused. 

“Because all the time I was an asshole. I was always so mean to you, and you still loved me, no matter what. I’m sorry, Kei.”

Touya returns to his flat and he can’t help beau smile when he sees Keigo, sitting in the kitchen with a cup of coffee in his hands.

“Wow, do you want a golden medal?” Tomura says sarcastically. 

“Maybe I just really need a friend who will punch me when I act like an asshole with the person who loves me without any conditions,” Touya says quietly, looking into his eyes. “Please?”

“Are we?” Tomura’s tone is cold and Touya doesn’t find any words to say. “You made your choice, when you preferred a bunch of rich kids who only hang out with you because you’re Endeavour’s son.” 

“I’m no longer in contact with them.”

“Yeah, like it’s a surprise,” Tomura rolls his eyes, folding his arms across his chest. I really want to punch you right now, but I’m afraid you’d decay to dust and Keigo would be upset.”

“Hey! Aren’t we friends?”

He cuts all ties with his ‘friends’ and stays completely alone. He thinks about Keigo and feels like he’s the greatest assholee in the world.

Tomura looks at him without a word, but Touya reads in his eyes the ‘I knew it would happen’ phrase. 

“I fucked up.” He says shortly.

And when Keigo asks for a pause, Touya isn’t really surprised. The fact that Keigo hasn’t broken up with him yet is already a miracle. And Touya decides to make the most of this time: to become a better version of himself.
