I just don't think it's as blatantly transparent to most fans as it is to you and I and others on here, or we'd see overwhelming support for the players in these kinda polls. Why that is, I have no idea. Media diet, not caring about the minutia, who knows. Someone smarter than me probs does.

The salary cap won't inherently bring parity, but it's something to cling to when other solutions don't seem apparent. Fans can't bully Bob Nutting into spending money, but maybe if the dodgers couldn't spend as much those buccos would have a chance!

I just think people want parity, like you said above. I get it, when I have no dog in the fight I find myself rooting for the underdog even when I get to watch Shohei or Curry do insane generational stuff. But people also have trouble with broader picture stuff (volatility).

The Patriots were a juggernaut for like 20 years straight. The warriors made every finals for nearly a decade. Shit happens. But it's hard to see the end with a team as rich as the dodgers who also churn out top prospects at the rate they do. I think it's a silly way to think, but I do get it.

I mean, the different path was JCPOA right? Not that it was the single solution to all these problems, but it was definitely a step down a different path, and Israel was relatively hostile to the entire framework of the plan.

That sounds fucking awful for all sides involved. Why would the Marlins, Rays, or Guardians agree to this? On the flip side, why would the Mets, Dodgers, Blue Jays, Phillies, or Yankees agree to this?
