I'm virtually housebound these days, so don't get to judge by the 'field' anymore. Strangely, this year I've been bitten more than ever. I don't usually, but our bat as been very late out too. I'm only just seeing her. Glad she's back. We've had 11 summers together now. π¦

Peacock butterfly on Cherry Plum blossom
My garden is usually full of butterflies, right from February when this Cherry Plum tree blossoms. However, this year I've only seen one Common Blue. All my ground nesting Bumblebees are gone too. How is it for everyone else? #UKwildlife #butterfly

Red roses.
I'd love to be posting about a glorious day here in Yorkshire as my first post, but it's July & raining yet again. I'm still waiting for summer, but at least this memorial rose got to bloom without being spoiled in the few rain free days we have had. #gardening

I have Delta's Sarah in my garden. Well, actually in two different 'tubs'. I hard cut them back after each winter to where I see new growth buds appearing. One grows larger than the other since it has more space. Maybe start with that.
